The ultimate discovery cruise

For those who just can’t get enough of Fiji’s beautiful beaches, coral reefs, islands and rich customs and culture, our 7 night tour of the Mamanuca and Yasawa Islands is the ultimate discovery cruise. Combining 7 our 3 and 4 night tours of the Mamanuca and Yasawa Islands, our 7 night tour will give you access to all of the most breathtaking scenery and cultural experiences that this beautiful region has to offer.

The Mamanuca group is comprised of 20 stunning palm fringed islands with beautiful white sand beaches, stunning coral gardens and some of Fiji’s most famous resorts, while the rugged Yasawa group is composed of 16 islands stretching for some 90 kilometres, making it the place to experience the pristine, untouched natural beauty of Fiji.

Highlights of our 7 night Mamanuca and Yasawa Islands cruise includes idyllic Monuriki Island where the Tom Hanks movie ‘Cast Away’ was filmed and the Sacred Islands where the first Fijians are said to have landed their canoes. You’ll also visit our own private island of Tivua, where you can snorkel through pristine coral gardens right off the beach, Sawa-i-lau with its famous limestone caves and blue lagoon and Naviti Island, where you’ll enjoy a traditional Fijian feast, lovo and cultural ceremony. As a special extra cruise inclusion, guests will also be offered the choice of a complimentary tour to the Sabeto Mud Baths or the Orchid Garden of the Sleeping Giant.

And after every shore excursion, you’ll return to relax in style aboard MV Reef Endeavour, where you’ll enjoy fully catered meals combining international and Fijian flavours served against a backdrop of spectacular scenery. Relaxing by the pool or on the sundeck, indulge in a massage in our spa or get active and snorkel or kayak in pristine turquoise waters; the choice is always yours on our spectacular small ship cruises.

You can adapt our discovery cruises to suit your holiday. We can collect, or drop you off, at many of the destinations that we cruise to. Give us a call us on 1300 TO FIJI (1300 86 3454) for more information.

    FAQ'S

  • What is included in a small ship cruise?

Small ship cruising is a unique way to travel that offers our guests the best of both worlds. You get to enjoy all the luxury offered by a large cruise liner, including daily chef prepared meals, a kids club, day spa, jacuzzi, gym and swimming pool. But you also get to experience the unique benefits only small ship cruising can offer, often travelling where big cruise liners simply can’t go and experiencing rarely visited destinations and cultures. At Captain Cook Cruises, we maintain exclusive relationships with many outlying Fijian villages, which means we can offer our guests a unique insight into remote island life.

  • What are the benefits of choosing a 7-night cruise?

A 7 night cruise is for those who want the full Fiji experience. It offers seven glorious nights to enjoy the best this beautiful island group has to offer. You’ll spend leisurely nights soaking up the pristine beauty, from white sand beaches and stunning coral gardens to the rugged volcanic splendour of the Yasawa island group. You’ll also have more than enough time to experience first hand the rich cultural heritage of the Fijian people, while enjoying a huge range of daily optional activities from snorkelling and kayaking to discovering Fiji’s abundant wildlife. The key ingredient is time, with 7 sun soaked nights to experience the real Fiji.

  • How customisable is my cruise experience?

We go out of our way to make our small ship cruising as flexible as possible and many aspects can be customised to your needs. Our chefs can cater for most diets and food allergies and if you’re planning a special event, we can arrange most things from an onboard celebration to a wedding on a Fijian beach. Our cruises also have the option of 3, 4, 7 and 11 nights and every Saturday we offer complimentary pick-up and drop-off at most Mamanuca resorts. Some of our Remote North cruises also allow you to join or disembark in Vanua Levu or Taveuni, so as you can see we do our best to be as flexible as possible.

  • How do I know if a small ship cruise option is good for me?

Small ship cruising is for a special kind of person. If you’re adventurous but also appreciate relaxing and getting away from it all, you’ll love our small ship cruises. If you enjoy exploring different cultures, tasting new food and experiencing activities you don’t normally get to do, then you’ll also appreciate our small ship cruises. If you’re single, a couple or a family, you also fit the profile, along with time-poor business people and avid nature buffs. Yes, that’s right. Our small ship cruises are for everyone wanting a holiday to suit their available time and budget. So if that special kind of person is you, book your small ship cruise today.

  • What are the key differences between a 3, 4, 7 and 11 night cruise?

Each cruise is designed to suit a particular type of traveller. Our 3 and 4 night cruises to Mamanuca and Yasawa are ideal for those who need a break, but have limited time to spare. Our three different 7 night cruises are for those with more time to relax and unwind and include a combination of the two shorter cruises, a colonial cruise for those interested in Fiji’s rich history and cultural cruise discovering the four distinct cultures of the Fijian islands. Longest of all, our 11 night cruise is for nature lovers wanting to kick back and experience Fiji’s unspoilt beauty on a leisurely cruise to the remote Lau Islands and Kadavu.
